Research Scientist — Protein Engineering
Type: Full-time
Role: Lead development of ncAA-modified proteins for Phase I product line and therapeutic applications.
Responsibilities: Design and express proteins with site-specific ncAA incorporation; optimize orthogonal translation systems; characterize proteins by mass spec and functional assays; develop purification protocols; support product manufacturing; contribute to scientific publications.
Qualifications: PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field; experience with recombinant protein expression (E. coli, mammalian); knowledge of protein purification and characterization; familiarity with GCE or non-canonical amino acids (preferred); strong analytical skills (mass spec, HPLC, etc.).

Senior Scientist — Delivery Systems
Type: Full-time
Role: Develop VLP and LNP delivery platforms for in vivo protein editing therapies.
Responsibilities: Engineer VLP capsids for tissue targeting; optimize LNP formulations for CNS delivery; characterize particle size, cargo loading, stability; conduct in vitro and in vivo delivery studies; scale up manufacturing processes; collaborate on regulatory strategy.
Qualifications: PhD + 3–5 years experience in gene therapy, mRNA therapeutics, or related field; hands-on experience with viral vector or LNP production; knowledge of GMP manufacturing principles; experience with in vivo studies (mouse, preferably NHP); strong project management skills.

Research Associate — Protein Characterization
Type: Full-time
Role: Perform analytical characterization of engineered proteins and support quality control for product line.
Responsibilities: Mass spectrometry (LC-MS, MALDI-TOF); protein purification (FPLC, chromatography); functional assays (aggregation, binding, activity); maintain analytical equipment; document results; support GMP documentation.
Qualifications: BSc or MSc in biochemistry, chemistry, or related field; experience with analytical instrumentation; detail-oriented; familiarity with GLP/GMP environments (preferred).

Scientist — Medicinal Chemistry
Type: Full-time
Role: Synthesize and characterize novel non-canonical amino acids for therapeutic applications.
Responsibilities: Design and synthesize ncAAs; optimize synthetic routes for scale-up; characterize compounds by NMR and mass spec; collaborate with protein engineers; support IP development; maintain chemical inventory and safety protocols.
Qualifications: PhD in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, or related field; strong synthetic chemistry skills; experience with amino acid chemistry (preferred).

Computational Biologist
Type: Full-time · Location: Winnipeg, MB (remote possible)
Role: Use computational approaches to predict optimal ncAA incorporation sites and protein modifications.
Responsibilities: Analyze protein structures to identify modification sites; model ncAA-modified proteins (molecular dynamics); predict aggregation propensity and stability changes; develop bioinformatics pipelines for protein design; analyze NGS data from expression libraries; collaborate with experimental teams.
Qualifications: PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field; experience with protein structure prediction and modeling; proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages; familiarity with molecular dynamics (GROMACS, AMBER, etc.); strong communication skills.

Role: Support commercialization of Phase I products and identify partnership opportunities for ADC and therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities: Identify potential customers and partners; support sales and marketing efforts; prepare partnership proposals and presentations; conduct market research and competitive analysis; attend conferences and networking events; track industry trends and opportunities.
Qualifications: BSc/MSc in life sciences + MBA or business development experience; understanding of biotech/pharma industry; excellent communication and presentation skills; self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset; willingness to travel (20-30%).
